This weekend in Queensland, there are four gazetted public holidays. As a small business owner, that means you need to pay public holiday rates as per the Award for these dates:
Friday 14th April – Good Friday
Saturday 15th April – Easter Saturday
Sunday 16th April – Easter Sunday
Monday 17th April – Easter Monday
Make sure your employee’s payslips clearly show that they are being paid a loading for working on a public holiday.
